FIDAMC will be responsible for managing the Advanced Training Center in Cádiz

Fidamc is an R&D&I and training center dedicated to the research, development, and application of innovative technologies in the design and manufacture of composite structures. Our goal is to create lighter, more efficient, and more sustainable solutions, ready for the mobility of the future.

As a national and international leader in technological innovation in composite materials, excellence is at the heart of everything we do. We meet the quality standards required by the aerospace sector and many other industries. We are known for our agility and flexibility, and since our founding in 2006, we have been leaders in the research, development, and application of composite materials.

We have a diverse board of trustees that includes leading companies in the mobility industry in Spain and around the world.

The Foundation for Research, Development, and Application of Composite Materials (FIDAMC) was established as a result of an agreement between the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Trade, the Community of Madrid, and Airbus, signed on March 15, 2006.

This research center, located in the Parque Tecnológico del Sur in the municipality of Getafe, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and covers an area of approximately 20,000 square meters.

The decision to create Fidamc stems from the importance that successive governments have placed on the aerospace industry, given its strategic nature and the need to continue researching the development of composite materials and other new technologies associated with them in order to maintain the Spanish aerospace industry’s leading global position.

The center has the following founding purposes:

• To establish itself as a Center of Excellence in R&D&I for composite materials technologies in the interest of the aerospace industry, with the aim of consolidating Spain’s leading position in this technological field.
• To foster and promote a collaborative network with universities and research and development centers in the field of composite materials technology.
• Maintain a high level of technological expertise in the development and application of composite materials and new materials.
• To explore emerging composite materials technologies with the aim of achieving their rapid industrial application.
• To raise the technological level of Spanish companies of all types by collaborating on the development of composite materials technologies.
• To serve as a center for outreach and training in composite materials technology.
