The province of Cádiz continues to establish itself as a strategic hub for technological and industrial development. It is against this backdrop that CÁDIZ MAT 2026, the Forum on Innovation in Advanced Materials—a one-day event organized by the Institute of Electron Microscopy and Materials at the University of Cádiz (IMEYMAT) that will bring together companies, technology centers, researchers, and organizations involved in R&D&I, and in whose organization the CFA has participated.
The meeting will be held on May 28, 2026 at the Faculty of Sciences at the Puerto Real Campus and will address the role of advanced materials in strategic sectors such as transportation, defense, energy, construction, electronics, and healthcare.
Advanced materials currently represent one of the main gateways to critical technologies and new industrial processes, enabling progress toward models that are more sustainable, efficient, and aligned with the circular economy. In this regard, Cádiz boasts a particularly significant industrial and technological ecosystem thanks to the presence of leading companies, technology centers, and research institutions capable of developing collaborative innovation projects.
The event will feature various panel discussions focused on innovation, financing, and sustainability, with the participation of organizations such as Navantia, Airbus, Titania, Andalucía Aerospace, CDTI, Acerinox, SIKA, and the Andalusian Health Service, among others.
