The Cádiz Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFA Cádiz) continues to bring industrial technology closer to society. A few days ago, Francisco Javier Romalde, the center’s operations manager, visited the CEEE UPACE San Fernando to lead an informative session on advanced manufacturing, 3D printing, robotics, metrology, and drones, showing students how these technologies are currently being applied in various industrial sectors.
The session was part of the “Machines and Devices” unit, allowing students to learn how various industrial machines and printers work and to relate that knowledge to the work they do in the classroom with 3D printing and part design.
During the talk, the speakers explained what the Cádiz Advanced Manufacturing Center is—an initiative promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia and managed by FIDAMC that provides companies and technology centers with state-of-the-art industrial equipment for the development of innovative projects.
The students were able to learn about some of the center’s key technologies, such as additive manufacturing (3D printing), robotics and automation, metrology and digitization, and the use of drones for industrial inspection and analysis, as well as real-world examples of their application in sectors such as the shipbuilding and aerospace industries.
These types of initiatives help bring advanced manufacturing and technological innovation closer to younger generations, sparking their interest in engineering, technology, and career opportunities related to industrial development.
At CFA Cádiz, we remain committed to promoting technology and bridging the gap between industry and society, helping to inspire careers and demonstrating how innovation is part of the present and future of the economic fabric.
