The Cádiz Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFA Cádiz) held another technical workshop for professionals in the industrial sector, with the goal of showcasing its technological capabilities, sharing real-world applications, and generating new opportunities for collaboration with industry.

The event, organized in collaboration with ASORCAD, provided attendees with an opportunity to explore various solutions in additive manufacturing, 3D scanning, metrology, and reverse engineering, as well as to analyze their applications in strategic sectors such as shipbuilding, defense, and aerospace.

Technologies and Applications for Industry

One of the main themes of the conference was industrial additive manufacturing, covering advanced materials, selection criteria, certifications, and various application possibilities. In addition, technologies from Stratasys and Creaform were presented, with an in-depth look at their capabilities within advanced manufacturing processes.

Throughout the event, various use cases were presented related to the manufacture of tooling and production aids, functional parts, replacement parts, and custom components, as well as the potential of these technologies to help reduce lead times for short production runs.

The event also provided an opportunity to explore 3D scanning, metrology, and reverse engineering capabilities as they apply to dimensional inspection, manufacturing, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations.

Attendees were able to experience these solutions firsthand through live demonstrations of 3D scanning and various additive manufacturing samples during the showroom event, thereby showcasing the technological capabilities of CFA Cádiz in relation to the industry’s real-world needs and applications.

CFA Cádiz: Technology Serving the Industrial Sector

These types of events allow CFA Cádiz to showcase its capabilities to the industrial sector, gain firsthand insight into its needs, and foster the creation of new avenues for collaboration on project development.

The event brought together professionals interested in innovation and in incorporating new solutions into their processes, creating a space to share knowledge, experiences, and opportunities related to advanced manufacturing.

On behalf of CFA Cádiz, we would like to thank ASORCAD for its collaboration in organizing this event and all attendees for their participation and time.

We continue to work toward connecting technology, knowledge, and industrial needs, contributing to the development of new projects and the strengthening of Andalusia's industrial ecosystem.
