The Cádiz Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFA-FIDAMC) has participated as a co-organizer of CÁDIZ MAT 2026, a forum held in Puerto Real that brought together companies, researchers, public administrations, and organizations from the innovation ecosystem to analyze the role of advanced materials in industrial and technological development.
In collaboration with the University Institute for Research in Electron Microscopy and Materials (IMEYMAT) and Titania, the CFA helped organize a conference that brought to light some of the key challenges and opportunities related to advanced materials in strategic sectors such as transportation, defense, energy, healthcare, and construction.
The event brought together representatives from organizations such as Navantia, Airbus, Andalucía Aerospace, the Cádiz Naval Cluster, CDTI, Acerinox, Moeve, Thermo Fisher, EDP Spain, SIKA, and the Andalusian Health Service, among others, cementing Cádiz’s status as a hub for innovation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration between industry and research.
Throughout the event, three panel discussions were held, focusing on advanced materials applied to transportation, public-private financing opportunities, and the role of these materials in building a more sustainable society.
In addition, Javier Romalde, Director of Operations at CFA Cádiz, moderated the panel discussion on advanced materials for transportation, which featured representatives from some of the country’s leading industrial and technology companies.
The high turnout and the caliber of the speakers reflect the province’s potential to position itself as a leader in innovation in materials and manufacturing processes.
