CTA (Andalusian Technology Corporation) held an event today to introduce innovative companies to the new Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFA) and its capabilities in cutting-edge advanced and additive manufacturing technologies, automation, robotics, metrology, digitization, and drones.

More than 15 industry representatives from various sectors participated in the meeting, during which the CFA’s capabilities were explained in detail, along with the process for establishing partnerships, accessing its technical and human resources, and leveraging innovative solutions for different sectors.

The Center for Innovation in Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (CFA) is a strategic project of the Regional Government of Andalusia, spearheaded by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Finance, and European Funds. With a projected investment of more than 18 million euros, co-financed with European funds through the ERDF, the CFA is equipped with advanced infrastructure and facilities to enable industrial companies to access and accelerate the transfer of knowledge to the market.

CTA Technical Director Fabián Varas opened the event, during which CFA Director of Operations Javier Romalde explained the center’s technological capabilities and the framework for collaboration on innovation projects.

Through events like this, CTA keeps innovative companies in its network informed about the opportunities, trends, and resources available to them for developing new R&D&I projects, and creates opportunities for meetings and networking to help them identify potential technology partners.

In addition, the event included a guided tour of the facilities, during which attendees were able to see firsthand how one of Europe’s largest additive manufacturing systems operates—a technology that can be useful in the aerospace, naval, biotechnology, and healthcare sectors, among others.
